Via qantas site is $1400/adult Perth - lax. Cheapest I have seen is $1800ish....

Have done the bpay option so now just need to think if ok.

Mel - lax same dates is $1299.

$1150 return with virgin from Perth - March next year over Easter break.

Wish virgin you could do bpay and have all day to pay it. I can't make decisions without consulting my finances aged and it's after midnight and he is asleep!

Makes me think the previous 'errors' were not really errors at all... this could be the new pricing level for flights to the USA.

Quite possibly, outbound tourism from Oz down massively as AUD collapses, inbound still soft from US economy and too many players trying to hold market share.

Who knows... the 'error' in the fares, claimed by Qantas, might simply have been that they were offered/made available a month earlier than they intended, rather than the fare itself being an error.

If you extrapolate fares to Hong Kong SAR and China - regularly in the $800 range by QF for 10-11 hours flying - these fares fit perfectly for 14 hours each way.
