Pft, well I for one would fly on a B787, and I have done.

Secondly, I am always dubious about anything which uses "tabloid media" style tactics. If it was 70% of all Boeing employees, then that means something, 10 out of a total of 15 people out of how many whom work at Boeing, when things are been said off the record in a show that wants to deride the program? Well something makes me wonder if those 10 employees won't "hand picked" for the show.

I would like to see the documentary. Often what people say at work can easily be interpreted too seriously by outsiders.

SWMBO is boarding an AC 787 in 20 minutes, I'll forward the link to her, she can sometimes be a nervous flyer:mrgreen:.

I agree as those who work closely together would generally form common opinions.

I would still like to watch the video but I'm not concerned about flying the B787.

Wasn't there a similar documentary on the 737 (on a wing and a prayer?).

I can remember the thread on here regarding that.

My personal view is that you'd hope that Boeing would have learned from MDD and their failings over how the DC10 issues were dealt with.

Yes I watched it and in short it's 50 minutes of my life that I won't get back.

Sensationalist journalism, they make claims that you can buy drugs at the SC Boeing facility but if it was investigative journalism you would see the deals being done, not just talked about. Just talking about it is hearsay.

They make claims about issues with the plane but never go into specifics, nor do they show the issues in question. There is some vague rambling about a machine that wasn't working and about an employee that didn't correct some mistake that they made but this was second hand information they didn't actually interview the employee who is accused of making the mistake. :rolleyes

They interview Cynthia Cole (IIRC was a past Union leader) saying that they were compromising engineering principles (can't remember her exact words) but some years ago the same Cynthia Cole was praising Boeing employees in getting the plane ready to fly.

Poor reporting that just tugs on emotions (given that fear makes us pay attention) but does not put any hard evidence behind the cr@p that they spew forth.

It makes me wonder who/what exactly is behind this production and what their agenda is.

I still want to go on a Dreamliner.

Well Al Jazeera is based in Doha, maybe QR want the price of their next 787 to go down;)

What load of croc from the journo, reporting a handful of people at Boeing wouldn't fly on the 787, they must have forgot abut the millions of miles they have flown since the early teething problems, story is a beat up, simply ridiculous.
