Advice on Interline QF-AA & LAX Min Connection Time

I was on a delayed QF11 once due to … a need to change a wheel tire, so one can try 🤣 Also, immigration can take longer than an hour depending when QF11 lands in LAX. I would look for a fully refundable ticket on AS later if available, while keeping the existing bookings.

Good News! Pyjamas on (almost) all Qantas international flights in J!

Not proactively offered or did you ask and got a ‘no’?

I was just reacting to this. 🙂 Well, happy to revisit if it changes. 😏

Qantas rolls out Classic Plus Flight Rewards

Classic Rewards and Classic Upgrade Rewards are still there. So the value is still between 1c and 5c+.

Qantas Business Class meals & menus

After reading this thread I avoided steak option until finally I took a risk on QF12 last week and got a very decent steak - pleasantly surprised. Admittedly, I asked the crew if they could undercook it (i.e. cook slightly less than what they normally do). The veggies were nice and a little...

I actually had something very very similar on LX between LHR and ZRH. Also, there was no choice - it was that or nothing. I liked the simplicity of it.

Managing AA booking made with QF

If you miss your connection, on the day of travel the booking is under airport control, with much more flexibility than reservations. The operating carrier (AA) should be able to move you to any available seat regardless of the fare class booked. The question of course is if there are available...

    QF11 Changes

There is now some availability on the QF11 morning departure 17/4. Suggest you call and ask to re-instate you to that flight if you prefer not to connect via MEL.

    QF11 Changes

I don’t have anything more specific, all I know is it was a CASA requirement to do a complete inspection after the aircraft experienced some sever turbulence on the way to LAX. I don’t believe the frame is damaged, just that unscheduled checks now need to be done.

    QF11 Changes

As mentioned OQB out of action due to hitting some severe turbulence. Sunday and Wednesday flights subbed for 787 (Sunday being a double 787) and retimed to morning departure. Also additional QF17 added for Thursday to manage overflow.

Qantas rolls out Classic Plus Flight Rewards

Be careful what you wish for. You want fluctuating value from your points for as long as possible.

If one person on a booking skips the return leg, is everyone else on the booking okay to proceed?

There should be no reason why if one person from a travel party does not check in the rest are denied boarding. Life happens. Which is why when you check in you have an option to select the pax to check in. Don’t think you should have problems.

    Qantas ticket class visibility?

You can change (pay up) or cancel within 24 hours at no cost. Also, the booking flow does show which fares are upgradeable and which aren’t.

Some crew don’t notice the difference (the side green light position when doing cabin final check). But some do - I got told a couple of times to put it back upright.

QF Upgrades - Successes or Failures (post results)

It’s the seat width, not legroom that makes all the difference. Legroom/pitch is overrated.

OT: I was one of those people in my teens. But not anymore, now love cilantro/coriander. So unless our genes alter as we get older, I am not sure I am buying the gene theory. But an interesting fact…
