    Denali Demo and Rebuild

I've had locks on my windows and balcony doors so can lock in open position for airflow for over 20 years, installed the day moved in. Nothing to do with kids and everything to do with security. Dont want some one breaking in while you are out or sleeping. When the law came in re locks on...

    Denali Demo and Rebuild

My nsw unit (as do almost everyone in the development) have links on the vertical blinds on bedroom windows and balcony doors, came with. Only people who have renovated recently may have shutters. We are 30% owner occupied 70% renters, no memo re it not being allowed. And the local Wynstan...

FINNAIR - new Business Class AirLounge seat

As a side sleeper I was unimpressed; and you need to pick side of the plane carefully as the layout means you can only sleep on one side.

    Everyday Rewards Targeted Offers

Havent had any decent spend/points offers for weeks. Keeps sending me offers for Big W or Marketplace which are of no need to me.

    Qantas App issues?

Interesting that this is the 2nd time the exact problem has happened in recent times, hard to have confidence it wont happen again since they clearly didn't stop it from happening the second time. Same failed controls after an update. Although this time appears to have been limited to iPhone...

    What cheeses me off

WCMO is huge price increases and cough interfaces for managing subscriptions. Disney + going up by $40 a year; so I want to downgrade plan (like I did with Netflix to avoid their price rise) and there is only a cancel option, no change plan option on google play. My standing preference is to...

The contagious spread of compulsory fees at hotels in the US

They should only be allowed to levy resort fees on those who choose to use the pool or gym or sauna facilities. I never use the gym or sauna and very rarely use the pool unless its a tropical location. User pays is fair, a flat rate especially on location like NY and Chicago where one is...

You know you are a frequent flyer when ...

A good liquid soap is superior imo, doesn't dry the skin (has inbuilt moisturiser), great for shaving pits and legs, faster to lather, smells nicer. Plus less wastage. I always bring my own, don't use the detergent some hotels offer.

    Airport lounges with outdoor terraces

My worry would be that there would be no actual fresh air just a bunch of smokers and vapers polluting the space, given how much more common smoking is in Europe.

    Qantas App issues?

Given we saw this exact same issue less than 2 years ago (reported on AFF but resolved in a shorter time period), it seems the work experience kids have failed to install safeguards to prevent this recurring. Im on android and only saw my own details but if mine had been breached to others and...

    TV series discussion {'ware Spoiler Alert}

Really enjoyed both "Fallout" on Amazon Prime and "Shogun" on Disney+. Had neither played the game Fallout was based on nor read the book or watched the older Shogun miniseries. Both binge worthy imo. Shogun visually stunning.

    What cheeses me off

WCMO is when you see boxes of Gaytime are on special so buy one. Get home bite into a bar, find it tastes insipid only to realise you grabbed the bloody "Plant Based" aka fake ice cream version. Yuk! I think vegan versions need to be called something else entirely, plant based juice like soy...

Qantas Increases Legroom Charges; Changes to Row 4 selection on most 737 flights

I guess I am in the minority that id prefer to sit in row 5 or 6 than 4. Since becoming WP I've had 90% success rate with a shadow in row 6 (and about 50% when gold), whereas someone always seems to choose the middle seat in row 4. I avoid exit rows as I like to have my handbag accessible...

    What cheeses me off

WCMO is rude patrons at my local cade, who occupy a table for 40 mins after they finished their 2 coffees (no food) while heaps of people waiting for a table. Its fine to linger when its not busy, but not during the lunch rush. especially on a nice sunny day where you can chit chat at the park...

"... we'll shortly announce a major investment to improve our Frequent Flyer program"

Yes but a good deal of those are not actually frequent flyers or even particularly active. How many parents open accounts for kids, then transfer their points? Or open accounts for family members who fly every other year? Some will save much longer than 3 years even to get a domestic award...

"... we'll shortly announce a major investment to improve our Frequent Flyer program"

LOL you are not trying hard enough. Generally never a good idea to bun points on domestic travel unless to a place that is always over priced like Norfolk Island or Broome. International long-haul J is the sweet spot. You can fly around the world for 318k points and ~$1.5k in fees . You can...

FINNAIR - new Business Class AirLounge seat

IME even when flying on a Finnair flight with the bedding designed for the seat it doesn't really work well. The mattress topper has noting to keep it in place, it just lies on the seat and so when you move it moves and you end up rolling onto the seat sans topper.

Qantas doesn't care about priority boarding

Which is a huge missed opportunity because boarding US flights is always chaotic with whY crowding the front forcing F and J to push through. And the larger the plane the more benefit for orderly boarding.

Qantas doesn't care about priority boarding

Seems strange to exclude the larger A380 and B789 services.
