It is a good question and there are a couple of reasons I am currently discounting it... 1. ear plugs so far haven't really done it. Even the mouldable ones that completely fill the ear don't block the loudest thunder. 2. Other in-ear plugs tend to be not comfortable/less effective etc.... 3...
