I think you have summed it up pretty well. Need more 350's instead of more horrible Y 878's for a start. If we are really lucky Boeing will fall so far behind with 787's that someone smart at QF will cancel the order and replace them with 350's
Qantas can no longer provide a good service and be a great representative for Australia at a price that is going to generate the good profits demanded by shareholders - or else it is going to continue to slowly wither and die.
What is the way forward from here for Qantas to restore reputation, quality, service, destinations, etc. - in other words to get it back to where it used to be and belongs?
I'm having a seniors moment - how long does it typically take for Qantas to credit points earnt from booking hotels on the QF website? First stay was early April but no points seen yet.
I did indeed include all of that with my claim and a note saying that I had been trying to get it sorted through QF and then EK - and that EK weren't replying. The other thing was I didn't bother claiming for the small stuff like meals in Cairo, Uber from the hotel to the airport etc - all the...
Not really - I prefer to try those responsible first because if everyone just goes straight to their travel insurer then insurance premiums will just keep going up...
To bring this to a conclusion - it seems like Emirates don't want to pay up or even communicate about my expenses incurred due to the extra two days in Cairo, eventually I gave up and filed a claim with my travel insurance (TID) and received payment in full within 72 hours of submitting the...
Away from the current topic - which box do members here tick when going to the U.S. for say a four day conference - who ticks the "vacation" box to save any hassle? and who ticks the conference or whatever box?
I guess the take away from this is that when doing these unprotected bookings then to make sure it is an early morning arrival into LAX so as the whole day for them to find you an onward flight if you miss yours.
D'oh! Yep that sorts it out -
You did well - I've spent long hours sitting in a lounge at DFW watching very slow moving lines of aircraft get sprayed all sorts of colours... and my flights to CLL all kept getting cancelled...
Good pickup - didn't see that - I suspect that if booking the earlier of the two flights at $591 then the second seat will probably cost $689 - but someone who is more experienced with AA might be able to confirm
You could do that - but there are better options for the ORD-LAX part - fly non-stop in AA First - credits QF status credits as Business in the calculator so 100 SC's earned for less.
Prices in USD for the 17th July on the AA.com U.S. website -
