    Qantas First Class menus

Time for a refresh of the dining: senior management have changed and now it is time to change the person who makes the menus.

    Qantas First Class menus

Well done recognising that plants are vegetables. The issue is that a plant only meal is not vegetarian. If we were meant to be vegan our bodies would make vitamin B12. Our bodies don't and we need this from our food e.g. dairy or eggs

    Qantas First Class menus

Qantas have removed almost all the options: vegan and Jain are the only ones left. So it is possible to preorder a vegan meal and to get one on the usual menu but not to get a vegetarian one at all... The crew have not been informed and it took screen shots of hte very restricted options to...

    Qantas First Class menus

Quite a bit of the food was the same as business and not updated for over 12 months. No vegetarian option only an unpalatable 'plant based dining'. Quite disappointing Sorry I don't have the actual menu.

Priority boarding on QF domestic - what is the story?

Flew between SYD and MEL yesterday and today: PB was the worst ever: one queue for both, no policing, no priority. Absolute shambles and worse than not having PB as there is an expectatio nthat is not met. Qantas: if you cannot do something simple reliably and consistently then do not even...

    Why BA (Executive Club)?

Why BA indeed… After the abysmal and appalling treatment of pax stranded in May BA has gone from being my favourite airline to my airline of last resort. A complete inability to provide the legally required support for pax (e.g. no water for >3 hours, no food for >6 hours and then only stale...

Priority boarding on QF domestic - what is the story?

Flew QF transcon today: signs were up, no one at home. A gaggle of pax were queueing in front of PB but were not PB pax: none turned away. Others pushed into the queue. QF boarding staff were clearly not interested in PB nor expecting WP as no one got the usual 'welcome back/good morning [pax...

    No Dreamliner for me

I suspect that the B787 will not be worth it: too few WCs, far fewer staff (according to reliable sources) the ability of FAs to black out you window at any time and not let you be in control (and the dimmed but not opaque window casts a funereal gloom over the cabin); no F. The myth of less jet...

Hey Qantas, why is it that ....?

I just wanted a F Host or similar escort for the senior. The TA called Qantas and the Qantas advice was to book a wheelchair as this was the only way to guarantee assistance… It turned out to be quite useful when we parked at a remote gate and on other occasions when we had a remote stand but...

Hey Qantas, why is it that ....?

Fortunately my TA advised that the only reliable way to get assistance is to book a wheelchair even if the pax can walk. I've done this for myself (RTW Bulgaria Air were the outstanding best) and for a senior relative. Overkill in one way but ensured the assistance needed actually happened.

Qantas most expensive excess baggage fees in the world?

Great way to lose loyal, high spending customers

Qantas most expensive excess baggage fees in the world?

On the contrary I understand very well. You can either accept what I wrote which is accurate (other than the maths typo) or not. Your choice.

Qantas Chauffeur service - General Questions/Advice

Delayd arrival is not a problem I agree. It is delays after landing that are the problem. The current T&C state that CD will only wait for 1 hour after the actual arrival time and then they are free to go or you can arrange and pay for a private tranzfer with the driver. QF did not manage to...

Hey Qantas, why is it that ....?

The F hosts are one thing that QF do really well (if you meet one). I am not implying that others have found them elusive. Rather it is typical QF: inconsistent standards but fantastic when it works.

Qantas most expensive excess baggage fees in the world?

extra charges are only one part of ancillary revenue as indicated in the other table. 100GBP/kg; 500GBP after a little leeway for a bit over gratis. Agree that orginal text is confusing

Qantas Chauffeur service - General Questions/Advice

I'm not suggesting thsgt it should stop if they can do it properly and that is the nub of the argument. It would be better not to have a CD than to have one that is not reliable. I like to arrive knowing that my onward travel is sorted out and not be wondering if I will have to look for...

Hey Qantas, why is it that ....?

I was not intending to imply you might have thought they were bad: I meant they do exist and they are lovely.

Hey Qantas, why is it that ....?

They are at LHR this month and none told me they were stopping ther service: quite the opposite. It seems your info is incorrect and the lack of assistance not up to standard. BTW I was advised to book wheelchair assistance even though it is more than actually required as it is the only way to...

Hey Qantas, why is it that ....?

I have met many F hosts and they are lovely caring people: the main reason I fly QF at all now is the wonderful F hosts and the great FAs I have met. The rest of the airline... As an example: I had both wrists in splints and had had assistance around the world. Two lovely QF F hosts were...

Qantas most expensive excess baggage fees in the world?

The table I referred to is headed 'airlines that make to most from extra charges': a FF programme is not 'extra charges' so based on this my statement is reasonable. I do see that another source has the table headed differently to include costs not related flights. Re xs baggage charges: I was...
