... is a woman in J to Melbourne today thinks it's ok to paint her nails. What also cheeses me off is husband next to her doesn't also see the insensitivity to fellow pax and suggest she not do that. It took 1C to complain to the CM for her to put the nail polish away.
I aimed for 30th and ended up at 28th. I might still try for exDFW as it suits my plans a little better. I'm fortunate enough to always fly outside school holidays but interestingly the 8th that they offered you is within Qld holidays.
I was able to request 2xJ LAX-BNE next April within a few days of my target date. I requested exDFW but I believe that is less likely. Has anyone had recent success of exDFW release? I'm wondering whether it's worth trying at intervals. Also a basic question that I should know; from comments...
I'll be soon looking for J flight from USA to Australia in April next year after school holidays wrap, ideally BNE. If I can get a flight to MEL or SYD, did I read that a domestic flight can be requested at no extra points? Is it best to start requesting a release at the earliest possible date...
I had three surprises today.
1. When looking at this CR+ stuff, I saw that USA was wide open for J CR when we were wanting to travel next March; multiple destinations on multiple days. So J is booked for SFO.
2. QF website was working on Safari and throwing errors on Chrome (normally the other...
When I handed back my Centurion quite a few years ago, I was asked whether I was sure, as I was told if I didn't renew, it would never be offered to me again. And they were true to their word, despite me spending much more now on the Platinum.
So I'm a bit lost with all this lounge malarkey. My wife and I are flying J on LA804 ex MEL booked as a Qantas CR as a QFF platinum. Would there be Qantas international business or first lounge eligibility in MEL? TIA.
If this ever happens in the 12 month timeframe announced, I would hope a similar charge of USD100-125 each way was applicable. Apart from the size of animal, that sort of levy would also deter uptake of whatever number limit per flight was applied.
Given the size of some of the dogs used in the VA marketing videos, they will need to have a dog chiropractor on hand after Fido spends the whole flight stuffed in a small cage under the chair in front. And apologies in advance for my SO sneezing through the entire flight after the pet parade...
Not sure. Ours say that also, after I received the payment request email. I am just waiting to enter the 90 day period pre travel before I make payment.
I had that exSydney the other week. A loud disgruntled woman in the waiting line started saying "these can't all be business" and was trying to get the few in front of her to push in. A platinum lady showed her her pass and said "some of us are priority", but she wasn't having it. She was so...
I took a CR flight Friday which will earn DSC from the promo last year (on PC+). How long does it take for the Double points to post as when I looked at the T&Cs, they said to allow up to 8 weeks? The problem is my review date is end of February and those points will get me over the line.
I selected Sydney as I was travelling to Sydney a few times and thought I could go in if any problems.
Below is what I received, stating payment is due within 90 days of arrival, as entry has to be within 90 days of visa issuance. The visa issues in 5 days after payment.
"Your Tourist Visa...
Date visa required 25/5/24
Date Application submitted; 13/1/24 I used the hotel's details in Valparaiso as the contact. I sent 3 months of a personal account with about 600 bucks in it and minimal transactions. I picked an occupation reasonably close; to be honest I got annoyed scrolling through...
The other scenic route from Cairns to Port Douglas (via Mareeba and Mt Molloy) is now open to traffic as of this morning. It takes a little longer but is a lovely drive through the tablelands and you can see the Barron Falls in full throttle.
RoadTek not mucking around. These guys are amazing. Before and after washout near Mossman and getting stuck in on the Captain Cook Highway at Ellis Beach and further up. Most roads are open and they're aiming for end of January (at least one lane) for the others.
For anyone looking to head from CNS north to Port Douglas, there is a landslide at Ellis Beach and also at least 2 around Turtle Cove and Rex Lookout on the Captain Cook Highway. Some boat operators are advertising transport between Cairns and PD on Cairns Notice Board facebook page.
