Would have to be an afternoon flight IMO and on at least an A330 for me to choose it over SQ. With SQ increasing to two services in the future it'll be a hard market to break into. I hope for the sake of competition that it works though.

I concur! Recently did the overnight from SIN - ADL (SQ) and ate in the lounge, book the cook on the plane and still had a great 4 hr sleep then straight to work on landing.

Personally never thought Gauchos was the go to but hard to recommend any 'steak' restaurants rather there are good steaks at particular restaurants (Africola has a good eye fillet atm). Italian - Fugazzi on Leigh St or Osteria Oggi on Pirie St are both not far from the Hilton. Bookings essential.
