    General Cruise Discussion

Yes the tours x 3 will add up but I don't know of the alternative. I'm comparing...if I was a tourist arriving in the port of Brisbane for the ½ day, where would I start.

    General Cruise Discussion

We're booking our 1st cruise. Eastern Mediterranean but flexible itinerary. Would like to go in March but we're a bit slow so might be May. 2 x adults + 1 adult (MissB). Looking at Silversea and Crystal Cruises, both have options of 3rd person on sofa bed. Cost of 3rd person varies, with...

Maybe he took the instruction "... behind that aircraft line up" too literally. ESL issue?

Credit Card Offers HSBC Star Alliance Credit Card: Fast-Track to Star Alliance Gold Status

I cancelled earlier this year before year 2 fee, am one of the lucky ones, 50K retained until end 2025. Seems they've fixed that now. (Used VA lounge extensively since. But VA benefits too as flew with them more often for the lounge. Sad to loose access, sitting in the BNE lounge on Friday...

    Superannuation Discussion + market volatility

All fines are penalties but just because all penalties are not fines, penalties have nevertheless been deemed to be fines by the courts and therefore thrown out (private car parking penalties deemed to be fines). One could dispute ASICs "penalties" in court as being a fine, but who would bother...

So this penalty is not a fine, even though it states "camera detected company fines...the fine will reduce"

    Superannuation Discussion + market volatility

So they aren't fines then, it was "payment of an infringement notice"? Such as this one (of many) https://download.asic.gov.au/media/d1bbccok/infringement-notice-hesta-s02181251.pdf

    Superannuation Discussion + market volatility

Particularly when so directly related as above..."APRA has identified deficiencies in HESTA’s board governance", and the HESTA Chairperson is on the Governance Committee 🤣. I presume APRA (like Courts) can choose to fine directors personally, but choose not to.

    Superannuation Discussion + market volatility

OK my poor choice of words, I mean the "Financial Planners", the ones that have to pay enormous annual fees and asic levies to cover claims resulting from the few dodgy financial planners who recommend investing in dodgy funds that pay them the highest commissions. I don't use a Financial...

Who else still holds the Citibank Free For Life Premier Card?

I think that it's clear that NAB is at the least considering it, and if they know through public discussions that there is informed pushback it may affect if, or how (maybe in a fair manner), they proceed.
