Qantas A380 reliability issues creeping up again?

And that’s somehow QFs problem? It is literally so easy to keep your points active.

Qantas A380 reliability issues creeping up again?

A bit of topic but ultimately Joyce did what needed to be done. Unfortunately they couldn’t have competitive fares at their previous cost base (due to the huge increase of competition from largely government backed airlines).

Qantas A380 reliability issues creeping up again?

My unprotected 9 hour layover in LAX coming off QF11 is starting to look like a tight connection due to these A380 issues.

QF11 cancelled today. Flow on effects I guess

Qantas A380 reliability issues creeping up again?

Another day and another QF11 delay. This route is proving brutal. 3 delays a week on both legs at a minimum it seems. That new schedule isn’t working very well for them.

What would you do? (PE vs Mixed J/Y)

JFK to SYD in PE or JFK to LAX in Y (with a stopover at DFW) and then LAX to SYD in J. All flights are on points. I will keep monitoring JFK to SYD for a business seat as QF normally release a few the days or weeks before. Thanks for the help!

    Bonza Airline Discussion

I don’t think they could. To work, it needs to be a low cost carrier.

    Bonza Airline Discussion

JetstarLink could actually work. Give them 10 E190s or something and it could actually be very successful. Bonza has proven that much.

    Qantas App issues?

What would be the process to follow if someone had a random cancel their booking?

    Qantas App issues?

Back at it again. It literally lets you do everything from bid to an upgrade to cancel to change seats. Hopefully no evil person out there cancels my rewards J seat to LAX and rebook it for themselves!

Virgin Inflight Wifi - Crazy High Speeds

It seems VA has some of the quickest inflight wifi in commercial aviation at the moment. 70/3 is genuinely crazy considering QF at best gets you 5/0.3 https://www.speedtest.net/result/i/6083375354

    QF11 Changes

QF11 is a 787 today. It seems to be changed to a 787 from an A380 at least 2-3 times a week nowadays. I wonder if they are changing it when they have low load factors or ability to rebook onto AA and using the extra time on the ground to do maintenance on the A380.

ANA and United have a different view to OP….

AA benefits for QF classic reward seats

It seems extremely misleading if we don’t get checked baggage on a classic reward in economy given it has a tick for included bags….

Qantas A380 refurbishment news and updates.

Can anyone confirm if all flying A-380s are refurbed? My understanding is they are as the last one is currently in AUH being done. Deciding who to book with for SYD-LAX J and this would be a deal breaker (given I can see some history of 2-2-2 J class on this route in Nov-Dec)

    Accor Plus Membership Discussion

“Enjoy a bonus of 20 Status Nights when you become an Accor Plus member. You will also automatically receive a bonus of 20 Status Nights once every 12 months on each renewal of your Accor Plus membership.” This is a good improvement. Hopefully applies to AMEX Plat members as well!
