Qatar "P" Class - It pays to check when booking flights

I *think* the way Finnair's Business Light works is that it's not a seperate booking fare code, so I'm not sure if other airlines can pick up on this information. Anyway, will be curious to hear what happens.

Lets talk about the 787 windows

This was actually an Insta360 Go 3 mini action camera. It's got a very wide angle lens so I can crop into the framing I want (vs. using a phone, where it often points angled up) Here's another (very noisy) example where you can see the stars. I believe this was taken from a Qantas A330:

Qatar "P" Class - It pays to check when booking flights

I believe the fare code letter is always encoded in the boarding pass barcode, so I assume that's how they tell apart award (U) and cash (P/I/J/whatever). But my reply was more saying that I don't think it's Qatar's policy to deny access to award J customers (hence the comment that award pax...

Lets talk about the 787 windows

One nice thing about physical window shades is I find I can stick my phone (or certain other cameras) between the window and the window shade then close the shade, allowing me to take photos without any risk of reflections. For instance, here's a timelapse I took of a moonrise (I think this was...

Qatar "P" Class - It pays to check when booking flights

I don't believe this limitation exists? If you're talking about the Qatar "Premium Lounges" in Singapore etc., OW Award pax are allowed in (at least in my experience). I know the rules make some reference to "revenue" pax, but I don't think that's enforced and/or they just mean to decline...

Qatar "P" Class - It pays to check when booking flights

As in trained the Lounge reception to reject Qatar P-class? Maybe As in Qantas IT making the computer reject this case? Doubt they're capable of that :)

Qatar "P" Class - It pays to check when booking flights

If you're going to complain about other users defending Qantas on topics that don't even relate to Qantas, then you really shouldn't post your long complaint about Qantas in this thread which has no mention of Qantas before you posted. Also as mentioned, the OP would have had lounge access had...

Qantas Increases Legroom Charges; Changes to Row 4 selection on most 737 flights

It's more competitive likely because people will naturally check their seat selection whilst checking in, and people will check in once they get a text/notification from Qantas that their flight is open for check-in (which will happen at T-24)

    QR Avios boost

I assume this is the BA Avios Boost. Anyway, the answer is no. I assume this would work only if you transferred directly from Amex into BA.

My first oneworld RTW (around Japan, NYC, and Europe)

Due to the aforementioned Amsterdam food poisoning, I only really had 1 day to get out of the hotel in Oslo :( Had a nice cruise around Oslofjord with The Fjords | Store reiseopplevelser - they've got a fully electric boat, meaning it's absolute silent when cruising around, definitely...

Qantas rolls out Classic Plus Flight Rewards

It depends how you look at card surcharges I suppose. I find most places will not charge a higher surcharge for premium cards, so as someone who wouldn't pay cash regardless, I'm going to be paying the surcharge regardless of if I use a Qantas Point earning CC or a zero annual fee. Admittedly...

ACCC action re cancelled Qantas flights

I think I've only ever been on one Qantas domestic flight with non-functional WiFi. It wasn't working for anyone on the flight but the CSM refused to reset the wifi hardware for some reason.

Qantas to introduce hot meals and hot snacks on most domestic flights, extends tea and coffee service

Dare I say I think the Qantas Econ TT food/main dish itself is fine... the issue is the presentation and lack of side dishes

Qantas to introduce hot meals and hot snacks on most domestic flights, extends tea and coffee service

I agree with this, although unfortunately I wish the A320s would come sooner and upgrade the hard product (well, assuming QF actually has a meaningfully nicer Economy hard product installed in those aircraft). I do hope they do start offering two options instead of just one on these longer...

The definitive thread on Qantas IT gripes.

It seems that all of my upcoming bookings have the Change button disabled. Mix of reward and cash bookings, all made directly through Qantas. All are simple returns, no multi-city which usually throws off the system. Anyone else have this issue?

Did you scroll up using the arrows below the map? 1715057672 Row 2 is bulkhead for middle seats. Row 1 is A & K only.

ACCC action re cancelled Qantas flights

I understand the need to compensate customers for this, but I feel it's a bit strange that hypothetically... Someone who booked a domestic MEL/SYD flight that was already cancelled but rebooked on a new flight 1-2hrs later gets $225 Someone who booked an already cancelled but less frequent...
