US Global Entry Program for Australian citizens [from 2025]

Certainly a lot of noise and press but to date the only drop off I have really seen is between US and Canada. I am heading back to Canada next week and it will be interesting to see what the flight is like. All my flights to other destinations have been full - Emirates from DXB last weekend was...

US Global Entry Program for Australian citizens [from 2025]

I also wouldn’t read too much into the reports - many of which are fake/distorted. I am not making any political statement. But as someone who has lived in the US for more than 10 years and comes in and out constantly (hence my longing and huge relief in gaining GE), I have not seen any...

And the Bill has now received Royal Assent and now an Act.

US Global Entry Program for Australian citizens [from 2025]

You need to prove your identity -including setting up a profile on the MyID App and answer some pretty basic questions. CBP just processes and checks the details you included in the application to make sure you have had no issues in the USA including any immigration issues. It can take months...

Terminal 4 JFK today at 315pm EOA - there was one person in front of my wife. Took less than 10 minutes and approval came through an hour later.

Although it doesn’t explain why Australian charges as so much higher than US or others like UK.

The article also helpfully points out the MPC App - frankly for most Aussies this is perfect and helps people fly through immigration. I stood in line for 90 mins at JFK the other month while watching people sale through MPC in less than 10 minutes. The only real draw backs - you cannot use if...

Indeed - and in typical Australian fashion the price for the check will be stupidly high - as you note. I think it was around 100 pounds when I did the UK check and of course the US is 100USD. So 300-400 AUD is stupid but no matter the cost I will certainly get it for my kid. The disaster of US...

US Global Entry Program for Australian citizens [from 2025]

Yep SFO a great place to do it. My wife is about to do it at Terminal 4 JFK which unfortunately means lining up in the usual long foreigner immigration line (cannot use the mobile app since we are on a visa) and then once clear, then hope someone is attending the EOA office and the queue is not...

Annoyingly my son’s online interview for identity confirmation was cancelled day before due to phase 1 closure. Very annoying that he missed out simply because of manual process as opposed to my wife who went through. Also annoyed as since the cancelled the interview it means we will still have...

US Global Entry Program for Australian citizens [from 2025]

Wonderful - something tells me that my son who is about to have a physical interview to confirm ID is now not going to be cleared - even though I started the process back on 10th.. All because they stupidly will not process someone under 18 online despite having a MyID….

In the middle of applying for my son and wife - I already have my Global Entry. Wife’s application is now in process - annoyingly for my son you cannot complete the Aust Background check online if under 18! Apparently you have to get a manual form. I sent a email to the listed address asking for...

Yes KTN is PassID. If EOA is available then your membership should activate immediately (mine did both times I enrolled) but if you have your boarding pass already then it will not have TSA Precheck on it.

I have actually been surprised by how quickly people are being processed. Standard CBP process can have people waiting for weeks or months with no apparent rhyme or reason. It has been amazing they have been clearing people so quickly after Australia background check.

Sorry my last response confusing on one point - your boarding pass for the onward US flight would need to have “TSA PreCheck” printed on it. iAlso just because you have GE doesn’t mean you will always get TSA Precheck on your boarding pass - sometimes the system will randomly withhold it. It is...

First you cannot assume EOA will be available - it isn’t always open. For example it was closed at 2pm at JFK the other day. If it is open then you will receive your membership number immediately. However, to get TSA precheck your membership number needs to be in your airline profile and booking...
