Hi FFers,

Upcoming trip with revenue ticket SYD-HKG; 2h40 transit to Cathay Redemption flight on AY to HEL. If i miss the second flight due to delay in first, my understanding is no airline coverage. But does anyone know if i can cancel the redemption flight at any time immediately prior to or after take off and get the points refunded (presumably less usual Cathay cancellation penalty)?

Not certain but i think you will get charged a cancellation fee PLUS a no show fee. All up about $200 US.
Best call them to check.

does anyone have an email address or contact for cathay pacific / asia miles?

I cancelled an award ticket in April 2023 and have not received a refund of miles and taxes.
