Checking if the site connection is secure​






www.australianfrequentflyer.com.au needs to review the security of your connection before proceeding.
I clicked on one link from the latest AFF email. No problem. Clicked on a second link and got this. It sat there for several minutes, before demanding that I do multiple captchas. This is the kind of inane coding that makes me stop using a site altogether.
 
This has happened to me several times whilst just reading AFF but clicking on a new thread. Is this a PH enhancement?
 
It might explain why accessing AFF via a VPN can be a pain in recent times.
 
That is coming from Cloudflare, and it has been happening on and off for me for quite some time. I don't think it new.

Previously I would get a cloud fare message that there was an issue with the site’s security certificate but it is only in the last 10 days or so I have been getting the captchas requests.
 
It's something Cloudflare does for IPs with poor reputation as a DDoS protection mechanism. VPN endpoints tend to have shocking IP reputation as the outbound traffic of many people are funneled through that IP.
