Hi,
We are travelling overseas with our 3 parents in September and we all have separate travel insurance policies. Hubby & I on 1 policy, my parents on another (they are joining us for part of the trip then doing their own thing) & 89 yr old father in law on another policy.
So just wondering if anyone knows if one of them fell ill or died (heaven forbid) either before or during the trip & we had to delay/change travel plans, is their a policy that would cover for this tiype of event?
Thanks Lindy

In my research last year, it was almost impossible to find travel insurance that:
A) covers over 85s, or
B) will cover cancellation of deferring of travel due to death/ illness of an immediate relative over 85

There were some from memory but the premiums were outrageous.

Unfortunately most insurance companies treat bring over 85 as a preexisting condition.
