Is it worth paying more to get the experts involved in flight booking.
Comments from those that have used service?

I have used Flightfox once and it was brilliant. Paid $50 to get a quote SYD-ICN using OW and ended up getting a cheaper fare in F than I could have found in J.
Money well spent, probably not as much value to you if you know your way around ITA matrix and all the .br tricks.

I'm an expert over there. It's a great way to make a few bucks, but there is actually a *lot* of effort we go to to get people good fares.

I've "won" a number of competitions. It works pretty well :)

Won one comp a while ago. But gave up. Too much work really!
But yeah the people there really know their tricks.

I occasionally take part in contests (when I can't find anything else on the internet to waste my time on). I am always amazed at the prices the experts are able to find. To get the best out of it, you need to have some flexibility in your criteria. If you are looking for the best price on QF8/9 on 18th December and 2nd January with no flexibility at all, it won't help you. But if you are a bit of flexibility with dates and/or airlines and/or routes, the experts there can find really good deals.

Likewise, i have made over $1000 USD as an expert. But too much time required so i rarely look at it now.
