Qantas Frequent Flyer is discounting the points required for selected Classic Flight Reward bookings in Economy Class by 30%, for bookings made between 16-20 March 2022. The discount is available on selected routes, for travel dates from 1 May 2022.
Eligible routes include the “golden triangle” domestic routes between Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane, as well as various international routes to Asia, Fiji and Hawaii.
This map shows all the eligible routes where the 30% Qantas Classic Flight Reward discount is currently available on Economy flights:
The discount will be applied automatically when you book on the Qantas website.
The discount will also apply if you book a ticket where at least one of the flights is on a route eligible to be discounted. For example, you could book a flight from Brisbane to Perth via Sydney with Qantas, and the entire itinerary will be discounted because there is a Brisbane-Sydney flight on the ticket.
This Qantas Classic Flight Reward discount is not available on Premium Economy, Business or First Class, or on flights operated by partner airlines. The taxes & carrier charges still need to be paid in full.
Qantas award bookings can be made up to 353 days in advance, so you could book now for travel dates until the first week of March 2023.
If you book now but need to change your travel dates at a later time, you can still retain the 30% discount as long as the booking was originally made between 16-20 March 2022 and the new travel date is after 1 May 2022.
See the Qantas website for full terms & conditions.
Qantas also announced today that all its flights to New Zealand will be “points planes” during May, meaning every seat on every flight is available to book as a Classic Flight Reward. Unfortunately, New Zealand is not an eligible destination for this promotion.
