If you’re in the market for pet insurance, Woolworths has an offer that may be im-paw-sible to re-fur-se. By taking out a new pet insurance policy, you can earn 20,000 bonus Woolworths Rewards points. That’s equivalent to 8,700 Qantas Frequent Flyer points (or a $100 Woolworths voucher). As an example, the Qantas points are enough for a one-way Economy flight between Sydney and Melbourne or Brisbane.
To receive the bonus points, you may need to keep the policy for a minimum of 30 days. But with some policies costing under $10 per fortnight, the required outlay is relatively small for the bonus points on offer. So you’d be, ahem, barking mad to miss out!
To earn the 20,000 bonus Woolworths Rewards points, you would need to take out a new cat or dog insurance policy with Woolworths Pet Insurance by 24 February 2019. You must enter the promo code PET20K at the time of purchasing the policy. Make sure that you also enter your Woolworths Rewards membership number when you sign up. By doing this, you’ll also receive 10% off your premiums for the first year of the policy.
Woolworths Rewards is free to join and is open to residents of every Australian state except Tasmania. For some reason, this offer is not available to Tasmanians as the Woolworths Rewards program does not operate there. (For our friends living in the Apple Isle, that does seem a bit… ruff… but there you have it.)
According to the offer terms & conditions, it could take up to 30 days after the first full premium payment is made before the 20,000 bonus Woolworths Rewards points are awarded. As payments are made once per fortnight, this means you could expect to make at least three payments before receiving the bonus points.
Several AFF members have already taken up the offer. Policy prices vary depending on the type of animal (cat or dog) and its age, breed, whether the animal has been desexed and various other factors. Some members have been quoted prices of under $10 per fortnight. However, depending on your pet, it’s possible your quote could be closer to $15-20 per fortnight.
I priced for a 1 year old cat for $9.83/fortnight. Hope the points arrive before the third payment! Worth a try
If you have a cat or dog and want to use this offer, be paw-sitive not to pro-cat-stinate as this promotion ends on 24 February 2019. (Okay, I’ll just see myself out now…)
