Garuda Indonesia has launched an excellent sale on Business Class fares departing from Singapore. In a unique twist, the prices in this sale become progressively cheaper as you buy more tickets. The best prices are available for groups of six travelling together.
The Garuda “6/5/4-to-go Business Class Special Deal” covers flights from Singapore to destinations across Australia, Asia and Europe. This includes round-trip flights from Singapore to Sydney, Melbourne and Perth.
Note that only round-trip tickets departing Singapore are on sale. The discount is not available in the other direction (i.e. on return trips originating in Australia). So this deal is best suited to families or larger groups that either live in Singapore, visit Singapore regularly or can position to Singapore in order to take advantage of the fare.

This sale is running until 31 May 2019, and you must begin the trip by 30 September 2019.
Although all flights have a transit in either Jakarta or Denpasar, no stopovers in Indonesia are permitted with this fare. There is also a maximum stay at the destination of one month.
The Garuda 6/5/4-to-go sale fares are subject to “I” fare class availability. Many flights have up to 5 seats available in “I” class, however we found it difficult to find 6 “I” class seats on some routes (which gives the best price on a per-passenger basis). We did find a limited number of dates on flights to Australia with six “I” class seats, however the maximum number of seats in this class that we could find on flights to Amsterdam and London was five.

Instead of paying the normal promo price of SGD2,734 (~$2,875) per passenger for a return Garuda Business ticket from Singapore to Melbourne, you’ll pay just SGD1,151 (~$1,210) per passenger for six passengers with this deal. That’s not a whole lot more expensive than buying an Economy ticket from a full-service airline on this route.
If you’re planning a family holiday to Europe over the September/October school holidays, you can also take advantage of this deal. Simply purchase cheap positioning flights to Singapore and back, then fly Garuda Business Class the rest of the way, e.g. to Amsterdam for SGD2,209 (~$2,323) each for 5 people. You can even build in a stopover in Singapore to break up the trip to Europe.
