1. Citi Signature Qantas – 150,000 Qantas points
Citibank continues to offer 150,000 bonus Qantas points with the Citi Signature Qantas credit card. That’s more than enough Qantas points to fly around the world in Economy class, plus taxes & carrier charges. You’ll earn 100,000 Qantas points if you spend at least $5,000 on the card within 90 days of approval, and another 50,000 Qantas points after paying the annual fee in the second year of holding the card.
This credit card has an annual fee of $395 (currently being waived in the first year), plus a $49/year Qantas Rewards fee. This offer expires on 31 January 2020.
2. Qantas Premier Titanium – 150,000 Qantas points
You can also currently earn 150,000 bonus Qantas Frequent Flyer points with the $1,200/year Qantas Premier Titanium card. To earn the bonus points, you’d need to spend $5,000 on the card within 90 days of approval.
The Qantas Premier Titanium card has a high minimum income requirement of $200,000. If you’d rather go for a less expensive card, Qantas is also currently offering up to 120,000 bonus sign-up points with the $299/year Qantas Premier Platinum credit card. 4. St George Amplify Signature – 200,000 Amplify points
St George Bank is still offering up to 200,000 Amplify Rewards points until 12 February 2020. This is equivalent to 100,000 Velocity points, Singapore Airlines KrisFlyer miles or Malaysia Airlines Enrich miles. Singapore Airlines KrisFlyer miles are a valuable frequent flyer point currency, so it’s great to be able to earn such a large bonus from an Australian credit card offer!
This card has a $279 annual fee. To earn the full amount of bonus points, you would need to spend at least $12,000 in both the first and second year of holding the card. (You’ll receive 130,000 bonus Amplify points in the first year, then 70,000 points in the second year.)
Bank of Melbourne and Bank SA (which, like St George, are owned by Westpac) also have equivalent credit card sign-up deals available.
5. Virgin Money Velocity High Flyer – 100,000 Velocity points
Virgin Money is still offering up to 100,000 Virgin Australia Velocity points – enough for a one-way Business reward flight to Los Angeles – if you apply by 2 December 2019.
