Virgin Australia has launched its own competition for Australians who’ve been fully vaccinated against COVID-19.
The “VA-X and WIN” competition is open to all Australian adults who receive both doses of a TGA-approved COVID-19 vaccine in Australia by the end of this year. There are a total of 251 prizes up for grabs.
Qantas launched its own “Been vaccinated? Be rewarded” competition last week, with instant rewards for everyone who enters and a major prize to be won in each Australian state & territory. But Virgin’s VA-X & Win promotion will work a bit differently.
With Virgin’s competition, not everyone will receive a prize. Instead, everyone who enters will be placed in a draw to win one of a range of prizes. Another key difference is that you don’t need to provide proof of vaccination to enter the draw – although you would still need to provide this in order to claim your prize if you win.

The major prize is one million Velocity Frequent Flyer points. That’s enough Velocity points for 5 return Business Class flights from Sydney to Los Angeles with Delta Air Lines, or 32 return Business Class flights from Sydney to Melbourne with Virgin Australia (plus taxes & carrier charges).
The return Economy and Business Class flight prizes can be used to travel anywhere that Virgin Australia flies within Australia.

Entries for this competition close on 31 December 2021. The prizes will then be drawn on 10 January 2022, with winners notified on 12 January 2022.
