On 22 February 2024, Etihad Guest unexpectedly updated its reward flight pricing. On many shorter routes, the program lowered the number of miles you’d need to book an Etihad Airways GuestSeat reward. But at the same time, some partner airline rewards became more expensive.
Etihad also slightly increased the number of miles needed for a long-haul Business Class redemption. For example, Sydney-Abu Dhabi in Business Class went from 110,000 to 120,000 miles.
On the same date, Etihad Guest removed the award chart from its website that shows the number of miles you’d need for any Etihad Airways GuestSeat reward flight. It replaced this with a Miles calculator that lets you search for the cost of a redemption only on one route at a time.
Many frequent flyers prefer award charts as they allow you to more easily compare the cost of redeeming miles on different routes – and in turn, to see where the value is. So, we put together an unofficial Etihad Guest award chart that shows the number of miles you can expect to pay for an Etihad Airways award flight.

Note that Etihad offers fixed-price “GuestSeat” awards as well as dynamically-priced “miles & cash” options. The below mileage rates apply only if there is GuestSeat availability and exclude taxes.
Etihad prices award itineraries as point-to-point flights. If you wish to book a connecting flight via Abu Dhabi, you’ll need to pay the sum of the points required for both individual flights. For example, flying Sydney-Abu Dhabi-London in Business Class will cost you 190,000 Etihad Guest miles + taxes.
Without further ado, here’s the number of Etihad Guest miles you’d need to redeem for a one-way Etihad Airways flight:

By comparison, this was the award chart on the Etihad Guest website for Etihad Airways redemptions from March 2023 until February 2024:
Booking Etihad’s The Residence with miles
Etihad Guest Gold and Platinum members can now also redeem miles to book The Residence, a three-room suite available exclusively on Etihad’s Airbus A380. This is a class above even First, and wasn’t previously available to book using miles.
Etihad hasn’t released award pricing yet for The Residence bookings, but you could expect to pay around 300,000 Etihad Guest miles + taxes for a one-way flight from Abu Dhabi to London.

A different award chart applies to redemptions on all other Etihad Guest partner airlines. This includes redemptions on almost two dozen partner carriers such as Virgin Australia, American Airlines, Air Canada, SAS and Malaysia Airlines.
