There are currently some exceptional China Airlines Premium Economy fares available to Europe. Return flights in Premium Economy are available for less than the price of Economy on some airlines!
According to the China Airlines website, the Premium Economy sale fares are available for departures from Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane. Flying via Taipei, you can travel to London, Rome, Amsterdam, Frankfurt or Vienna. Open-jaw tickets are also available. So for example, you could fly into London and out of Amsterdam.
China Airlines is advertising Premium Economy fares to Europe from $1,705 return – which in itself is an extraordinary deal. But we’ve found tickets for even less! Flights from Sydney to Amsterdam, for example, are available on the China Airlines website for as little as $1,523.
The exact price for each city pair will vary, but there are excellent deals across the board.
The sale fare conditions vary slightly depending on whether you’re departing from Brisbane, Melbourne or Sydney. Sale fares from Brisbane are available for travel between 26 March and 15 June 2018. To access the cheap fares from Melbourne, you’ll need to travel between 26 March and 30 November 2018. But there are no such restrictions on Sydney departures, with the low fares available any time until the end of this year!
Sale fares are also available to San Francisco, Los Angeles and New York! Premium Economy flights to the United States can be picked up for under $1,700. Again, open-jaws are possible. You can use ITA Matrix to find combinations of cheap flights, then book on the China Airlines website.
The China Airlines Premium Economy product is not to be overlooked. China Airlines now flies brand new Airbus A350s on many of its Australian and European routes. Premium Economy is configured with comfortable 2-3-2 seating, and the fares come with a 35kg baggage allowance. According to one AFF member, the service is also excellent:
They have new Airbus A350-900, with a herring bone style seating in J, and the Y+ seat are the hard shell type, none of this in your lap when the seat in front is reclined. The Y compartment has a Sky Bistro Bar, at the rear of the J compartment.
Ohh and by the way, the In flight service is the best I have ever had, and I include Qatar and Cathay.
Some flight combinations require a long layover in Taipei, but many do not. Flights to/from Sydney have short layovers available.
The China Airlines Premium Economy sale fares book into “E” class, which earns 100% miles in the China Airlines Dynasty Flyer program. You can also earn points with other SkyTeam airlines including Delta, Air France, Garuda Indonesia and Korean Air.
Business class sale fares to Europe are also available with China Airlines for around $4,000 return.
The China Airlines Premium Economy sale ends on 31 January.
