Last weekend, 40 AFF members descended on Launceston, Tasmania for the 16th annual AFF member gathering! This event takes place each year in a different city around Australia.
Australian Frequent Flyer is a diverse community of frequent flyers and points enthusiasts. While most of the discussions take place on our online forum, we are of course a community of real people. The in-person gatherings are a great way to meet other like-minded people and discuss some of the tricks that are simply too good to make it onto the forum!
Most of the attendees arrived in Launceston on Friday, ahead of the welcome dinner at Levee Food Co.
On Saturday, the “AFFers” split into two groups. One group enjoyed a tour to the Table Cape Tulip Farm, with stops for cheese, chocolate and lunch.
The other group toured some of Tasmania’s best wineries.
Dinner on Saturday night was at Steve’s Grill at the Centennial, where our guest speaker was Steven Pickering, the Head of Commercial at Launceston Airport.
There were also several lucky door prize giveaways on Saturday night, with prizes including wine and frequent flyer points.
Thank you to all of the AFF members who came to Launceston, and to the organisers who volunteered their time to ensure the weekend was a success!
Missed out? Come along to a future AFF member gathering!
