One of the biggest concerns that Australians have about going overseas at the moment, understandably, is catching COVID-19 while away and getting stuck somewhere.
Unfortunately, this happened recently to Australian Frequent Flyer forum moderator Bill MacCubbin, who you may know on the forum as straitman. Bill recently caught COVID in Fiji but has since recovered and returned to Australia this week.
The good news is that it wasn’t really a horror story at all! Bill recovered quickly, was looked after very well and didn’t have too much trouble eventually coming home. In fact, even with the benefit of hindsight, Bill says he would do the trip again.
In episode 77 of the AFF on Air podcast, Matt talks to Bill about his eventful recent trip Fiji.
Also in this episode, find out how to earn Singapore Airlines KrisFlyer Gold status until 2025 by transferring points from your credit card. It’s a great deal, but you’ve only got until the end of this month to take advantage of it.
