Earlier this week, Singapore Airlines increased the cost of most KrisFlyer award bookings and upgrades. Next month, KrisFlyer will also change its stopover rules – and not for the better.
In Episode 88 of the AFF on Air podcast, Matt is joined by Aaron Wong, the founder of Singapore-based frequent flyer blog Milelion for a chat about these recent changes to the KrisFlyer program. Find out exactly what has happened and what the 2022 program changes mean for KrisFlyer members.
In this extended podcast interview, Aaron also shares some useful tips on how to get more out of the KrisFlyer program. The discussion covers topics including waitlisting for KrisFlyer awards, the value (or not) in Star Alliance round-the-world awards, whether it’s worth upgrading with KrisFlyer miles and what to do if you have expiring KrisFlyer miles.
Finally, Aaron also shares his thoughts on the new Singapore Airlines lounges at Changi Airport.
Please note that since this interview was recorded, Singapore Airlines has also announced a devaluation of its partner airline award charts from 1 August 2022.
