Chris Gibbs has been a long-term Qantas Platinum One and lifetime Platinum member ever since both tiers were created. Now sitting on 106,500 lifetime Qantas status credits, this Australian Frequent Flyer member has certainly done his fair share of frequent flying!
In Episode 73 of the AFF on Air podcast, Matt chats to Chris to find out what kind of flying he’s been doing to earn so many status credits, and discuss some of the more memorable travel experiences and lessons learned along the way.
Chris says that Qantas has looked after him extremely well during his many travels over the years and he’s become a huge advocate for the airline and its staff. But there is one change he would like the Qantas Frequent Flyer program to make.
In this interview, Chris also reflects on how the pandemic and closed borders has impacted his business and personal life, and why he believes face-to-face business meetings are still crucially important in the era of video conferencing and Zoom meetings.
Also in this podcast, Matt shares his experience of flying into Sydney from overseas during the first week of quarantine-free travel resuming. Plus, find out which travel insurers are currently providing international COVID-19 travel insurance and what is (and isn’t) covered!
