Air New Zealand will reopen all of its international airport lounges over the coming weeks as New Zealand prepares to reopen its border to the world.
Currently, all Air New Zealand international lounges are closed except in Rarotonga, Christchurch and Auckland. The Auckland lounge is currently only open until 3.30pm, meaning it is open for morning departures to the Cook Islands and Australia but not evening services to Asia and North America.
The Star Alliance Lounge in Los Angeles is currently open.
From 11 April 2022, the day before New Zealand reopens to Australians, Air New Zealand will return its Auckland international lounge to normal operating hours.
Air New Zealand’s Wellington international lounge will reopen on 1 April, while the Nadi location will welcome back guests from 8 April.
Air New Zealand’s airport lounges in Australia will also reopen from the following dates:
- Sydney: 30 March 2022
- Perth: 5 April 2022
- Melbourne: 6 April 2022
- Brisbane: 6 April 2022
In the meantime, Air New Zealand passengers with Star Alliance Gold status or a Business Class ticket may be able to use the Singapore Airlines lounge if one is open at the departure airport.
Eligible Air New Zealand customers in Hobart, Gold Coast and Adelaide have access to the Qantas domestic lounges at those airports.
All Air New Zealand domestic lounges are currently open, except the Wellington regional lounge. Customers on regional Air New Zealand flights departing from Wellington are being directed to the main domestic Koru Club lounge instead.
Qantas will also reopen more of its international Business Lounges this weekend.
