Korean Star Alliance carrier Asiana is currently offering some heavily discounted Business Class fares from South Korea to Australia.
From just AU$2,149 return, you can fly in Asiana’s Airbus A380 or A350 Business Class from Seoul to Sydney and back. On both planes, Asiana has a modern, lie-flat Business Class product with aisle access at every seat.
Asiana is currently using the Airbus A380 on the Sydney-Seoul route over the peak Australian summer period, but it will revert to an A350 from March.
Here’s an example from Google Flights of an itinerary that you could book at this price:
According to the fare rules, you would need to take the Seoul-Sydney flight by 30 April 2025. You could take the return flight from Sydney to Seoul up to three months later.
Unfortunately, the same price is not available on round-trip bookings originating in Sydney. If you were to book a return Asiana ticket from Sydney to Seoul, the prices around the same travel dates start from $3,271 return. (Unfortunately, it’s not uncommon for Business Class airfares departing Australia to be more expensive than those originating overseas.)
If you live in Australia, you could still take advantage of this Asiana Business Class sale fare if you’re planning multiple trips to Asia by “nesting” it within another return booking from Australia to Asia. If you have friends or family in South Korea who would like to visit Australia, they could also use this fare.
These Asiana flights book into the “U” fare class. You could earn miles with your choice of Star Alliance frequent flyer program including Singapore Airlines KrisFlyer and Air Canada Aeroplan.
Tokyo-Melbourne from $2,480 return in Royal Brunei Business Class
The Asiana sale fare from Seoul to Sydney for $2,149 return is particularly cheap for a non-stop Business Class flight from South Korea to Australia.
If you’re looking for a cheap ticket from Japan to Australia, Royal Brunei also has a deal that’s only a few hundred dollars more expensive.
With Royal Brunei Airlines, a dry airline, you could fly from Tokyo to Melbourne via Brunei for just under $2,500 return. However, as per the Asiana fare, the low price is only available in that direction. A round-trip Royal Brunei Business Class ticket from Melbourne to Tokyo would start from around $3,846.
