Another Airpoints "enhancement"

Another "enhancement" in the wings, straight out of my email box:

We're making a change to our frequent flyer partnership with Virgin Australia effective 1 November 2017. Airpoints members will continue to be able to earn and redeem Airpoints Dollars™ on trans-Tasman and domestic Australian Virgin Australia flights, however for bookings from 1 November you will no longer be able to earn Airpoints Dollars on Virgin Australia's long haul services (between Australia and Hong Kong or Los Angeles).

Bookings on Virgin Australia which are made prior to 1 November 2017 for long haul travel after 1 November 2017 will still earn any Airpoints Dollars you are entitled to.

So no more getting Airpoints for taking VA to HK or LA. Not sure if this impacts too many people.

From Velocity

From 1 November 2017 travel on Air New Zealand Trans Pacific flights to and from the Americas will be ineligible for Points earn.
