Fast track yourself to a free flight. | Fly bmi

Special bonus offer - One Week Only - Receive 50% more miles
Purchase miles between 6 December and 12 December, 2010 and you will automatically receive a 50% bonus on the number of miles purchased.
24k miles = 207 GBP ~= 333 AUD, circa 1.4c/mile.

It is possible to buy 24k for yourself, and 120k into 5 family members accounts, and end up with 144k in your account, which is almost enough for a J class RTW using cash and miles. Total cost for the J class RTW, should be ~2000 AUD for the miles, ~1100 for the cash part of the award, and then just taxes... So for a less than the cost of a LONE4 you can fly in J around the world on Star Alliance, assuming you can find availability, etc

Award chart for BMI is here.

Whilst it is good, the fuel surcharges calculated by BD is more expensive than US (which is nothing). So that needs to take into account as well, especially you want to fly SQ and TG.

Yes, and the fact that you have to deal with Pune (India)... But it is still one of the best earn/burn programs in *A, so this is a good deal if you need to top up your account.

Yep, had 18,191 in my BMI account so topped up with 19,500 miles for GBP171 which is enough for an AUS-ASIA J return with miles+cash.

Thought about doing the family thing but just couldn't be bothered and the cash is a little tight after all the USAirways craziness.

And better burn it quickly too given that it could be tomorrow that your miles are converted to Miles and Less ....

After the joys of USAirways and their minimal taxes the step back to BMI was a rude shock.

Booked last night:
MEL-BKK / CNX-BKK-MEL
TG in J

37,000 points, GBP 255 (cash component), taxes GBP215

Still a bargain at around AUD 900 for the whole thing as I was starting with minimal balance in the account. But the taxes, wow........
