Hi,

Flying to Canada next month. Is there a pay as you go lounge in CDG. Will be arriving terminal 1 then departing terminal 2 and the return leg arriving terminal 2 depart terminal 1. Return leg is bus class with MH from CDG, I know their departure lounge in T1 doesn't have showers. Was hoping to get a shower somewhere, it's a long way from Perth to Montreal without a shower, pity the rest of the passengers.

All help greatly appreciated.

Have you considered a shower just before you leave to head to the airport...? :p

The thought did cross my mind.

If I don't find a shower, I hope you are sitting next to me on the flight from Paris to Montreal after my flight 18 hour flight from Perth.

Ah! It wasn't very clear exactly where / when you would be etc. as the wording was a bit ambiguous. It read as if you were flying from CDG after having had a stopover there.

Read the last line of my original post. Or is that not plain enough for you.

Maybe you should take note of your tag.

I'm not going to even bite at that, the grammar was poor and it wasn't very clearly written :)

Have you had a look at Airport Lounge Access Worldwide | Priority Pass to see if there are any suitable lounges at CDG?

Edit: doesn't look like it has showers, either.
Airport: paris - Charles de Gaulle (CDG), Terminal 1

Lounge: ICARE LOUNGE

Pack a travel sized deodorant bottle and spray it every time you use the lav?

While not flying as far, I had a shower in Kensington, then walked around all day in London, took a QF flight from LHR to SIN. Didn't shower. SIN to MEL. Didn't shower. MEL to BNE, train down to the Gold Coast, and then showered, but I didn't smell that awful :p

You should be fine.

Either that, or your sister didn't have the heart to tell you

samhoo4 man you must have been honking after that journey. I have a bit more respect for my fellow passengers.

Which airline are you travelling CDG-Montreal-CDG and in what class?

If you cant find a shower, consider taking a few changes of (loose fitting) clothes in your carry-on, and a small hand towel (and plastic bag) which you can use to "clean" relevant areas, plus the clean clothes will negate much of the issue.

Note to clean your feet - makes a huge difference to how clean you feel (if not to how clean you actually are!).

Edit: Another thought - how long is your connection, do you have time to go to an airport hotel?

docjames,

Thank you for the suggestions.

Looks like the Novotel or Ibis will be the way to go. I will contact them regarding day room availability and prices.

I'm going to be in transit at CDG for about 4 hours after a 24-hour journey from SYD later in the year. Looks like there aren't any paid lounge entries at CDG but, from what a few people have said, I won't have time for a shower and the 4 hours may be needed to get to my connecting flight (I'm transferring from 1 to 2F)! I will definitely have to have a shower at KUL then. ;)

MH_Fan,

If you are departing CDG on Air France and flying business class or you are an AF Platinum member you can use the lounge at Terminal 2, they have showers.

Failing the above the Ibis has rooms charged by the hour, but these are generally full.

4 hours is plenty to get between terminals 1 and 2 and have a shower just as long as you keep moving.

Thanks for that suggestion. Unfortunately, not flying business on AF or have status with them. I will definitely check out the Ibis. I reckon I'd be feeling a tad skan_y after 24 hours on a plane (even if I have that shower in KUL)!

Opposite side of the train station (you need to catch the train to get from T1 to T2)concourse from the Ibis is the Novotel, they generally have rooms available but unfortunately you have to pay approx 80 Euros for the pleasure to use them.

Yikes! 80 Euros just to have a shower. Hmm...I will have to think about that.:(
