Hi,

For those who have flown from BNE since the International QP has closed for renovations.

I will be flying BNE - NRT on 30 Sep 16. For QFF is entry provided to the Plaza Premium Lounge by the way of a pass per person including children, are they restricted to BNE (or could you use them in SYD) and finally are they date stamped.

Reason for the ask is that my partner and I hold AMEX Platinum Charge Cards so we will both get access and our child will use one of the guest slots. At WP1 and WP traveling J I suspect that my chances of being offered food vouchers (over lounge access) is low.

If Qantas hands out passes that are date stamped I can make the passes available via the lounge meet ups. If there are not date stamped I will accept them and give them up on free to good home.

Thanks

I flew out of BNE on Thursday, and was talking to QF PAX who were all informing me that they have no such arrangement and are just handing out $30 food court vouchers to lounge usage qualifying PAX to use instead of.

I flew out of BNE on Wednesday and nothing was mentioned at check-in. I asked why I couldn't use Emirates lounge and was given some silly reason.

Went to Plaza Premium lounge and they scan boarding pass and in you go. Alcohol under lock and key and slow service so you don't drink too much.

There's another thread here on the BNE lounge

Just went through tonight and showed my QF card and boarding pass. Probably could have walked straight in without them noticing as no one was manning the desk! Yum food though. Pretty quiet but as dr ross? pointed out in the other thread - depends on time of day you're flying.

I suspect your chances are low as well of getting food vouchers but the gifting is a nice thought.

It apparently depends on class of travel and QFF status - higher class/status get the lounge pass; others get the voucher.

What time were you there? The EK lounge only opens early in the morning for a few hours and in the evening; it's not open all day.

We did BNE NRT earlier this month. It was just show your boarding pass at the PP lounge entry for scanning (no separate pass). The lounge was pretty crowded at that time of day.

I was there ~9:00am-10:00am.

I was told it was a special arrangement that no EK lounge access on QF flights.

Thanks for the feed back.

I ended up ringing the lounge direct. I was informed that we can both bring in guests due to Qantas Status, however our child will considered as 1 guest.

Our AMEX cards will also allow another 2 guest, they said they would let in 4 adults and 1 child depending on room.

I will put 2 places in the Lounge Meets thread.

Been following these threads as my mum will be flying through BNE twice in the next month. Once on the way to ZQN (transit) and I wonder how they'll inform her where to go now as she wont be at a check-in desk, but a transfer desk (flying J/SG member). Then BNE-HKG I presume they'll just let her know at check-in, but again she'll be flying J/SG member so assume she'll get lounge access instead of a voucher.

The service desk between gates 79 and 80 appears to be the place to go for transit passengers to find out options. You would think that a J seat would mean lounge access though.

Just tell her to go to the plaza premium lounge with her boarding pass and qantas card. She can either follow signs or ask any of the retail people where it is. It's basically up the escalators (Maybe across from gate 81? Maybe someone else can look at the number next time they go through and post it here for you. I'm a bit inattentive if it isn't directly relevant to me at the time).
