Ohhhh that's nasty really nasty I might be lucky as I have just received a refund on a Business AMEX 1300 closing the account recently so count myself lucky !

I didn't realise that pro-rata refunds on credit card annual fees were actually offered in the first place!

Do most banks/card issuers have a similar policy?

They are never offered but most times you can get pro-rata refund if you ask firmly but nicely - it's a no brainer that by not asking will guarantee no refund.

Very much depended on the bank I think. Westpac gave me one many years ago, Macquarie and Qudos definitely not; and I can't comment for the rest.
