I have been invited by Amex to do a survey for their new credit card offering research. They are researching on offering different combination of benefits such as free Accor Advantage Plus memberships with free nights, Shangri-La Golden Circle Jade, Free Car Rental LDW cover, Priority Pass memberships, $$ credit for use on Amex travel services, free domestic and short haul international flights, express path passes, Amex member lounge access, Hertz elite tier. They ask for a combination of these benefits with different annual fee price points.

Still doing the survey now.

Just completed the survey. They provided a lot of different combination of CC benefits with different sets of annual fees. Very interesting to see what their next CC will offer, and at what price point.

So check your email box to see if you get invited to do survey for Amex for new CC, if you already have an Amex card.

Got the email too. Was hoping for a more personalised incentive for completing it.

I think the only incentive was trying to see what sort of improvement they might add to their cards...and not a fan.

None of those would excite me a great deal. Anything in the survey on points earn structure?

A no frills card that gives 2ppd on all spend would win it for me :)

(something like the business accelerator, but minus the business)

Point structure remains the same:

- 3 points for supermarkets/2 points for petrol stations/UP TO 1 point for everything else.
OR
- 3 points for Dining/2 points for travel and FX/UP to 1 point for everything else.

I did tell them to introduce back 1.5 points per dollar spend regardless of type of spend though. Not sure if they are listening.
