I recently booked flights for Mrs S and myself on QANTAS and paid $ 5,166
Normal pointed posted at 2:1 = 10,322 points
But BONUS POINTS only 4,447...looks like no points on the tax component but only in respect of the Bonus points
I am going to complain but before I do has anyone else experienced this short posting of points
i expected 3:1 on the lot

OK, so you're 719 points short of what you thought you'd get? And the tax figure on the ticket was $719?

Not the point IMHO
the letter clearly says 3 points per dollar for Qantas airfares and specified restaurants
2 points for hotels etcwhy did they not deduct GST on those ?
would be interested to hear if anyone else has first hand experience etc

Thanks but I have looked at their letter sent out explaining the changes and the way I see it it clearly says 3 points for Qantas spend ???

Will wait to see if anyone else has had actual point experience before complaining

 Not sure what you mean by actual point experience.

Did you read the post I directed you too?

Yes but my letter might be different
mine said 3 points per dollar spent on Qantas products but not Qantas Holidays ?..
If they were not paying any points on taxes why did the normal post at 2:1
does not seem consistent
Has anyone else had first hand experience ?.

I rang up and got x3 for QF flight....was told only QF flight booked directly with QF paid x3. All other transactions with QF (epiqure) has paid x2

IMO most people here have ditched this card.

Thanks I will ring then then as I booked on line off their website

Thanks for totally not answering my question - I'll repeat: was the tax on the ticket $719?

Sorry I thought you had made a statement and were querying my querying of the shortfall
i am in Cambodia so can't check but irrespective it seems inconsistent to deduct on the bonus but not the double points
anyway their letter clearly says 3 points per dollar on Qantas spend which is why I was asking if anyone else had had first hand experience on receiving 3 points or not on their purchase of tickets
