Hi VFF,

I have an issue with a booking not showing when I go to manage my booking. In Velocity it looks like this

There is a QF flight in there (was all booked through an agency) but is under the one booking. If I look at the QF site it shows all my virgin flights, but the Virgin site shows this

The QF flight is Perth to Port Hedland, the rest are Virgin.

I would like to jump on and pick some seats, and also know that when I turn up to the airport everything will be sweet.

Thanks in advance!!

Dan

Because its booked through a non-IBE or external travel agent you won't be able to do online seat selection, or indeed manage your booking at all. If you want to select seats I suggest calling VA on the phone and they will allocate seats for you if you want.

Its been this way since Jan 2013 for - a lot of my travel is booked by a corporate travel agent. I also get the same screen as you see when I have a Rex booking associated with the VA bookings.

Just to check if everything is OK you can create a Tripcase login and you should be able to see all your VA and QF bookings in there, but unfortunately Tripcase is no help with the OLCI or seat selection.

OK thanks, that is strange though as this is the only booking like that. I have 4 in the system at the moment and all my other flights that are just VA I can go in and hit select -> Add/Update travel extras -> Seat selection. Then proceed to pick a seat. All booked through the agent

Ah OK - so a bit different to mine. In your case it could be one of two things - either the agent made a mistake on the mixed QF/VA PNR but the mistake was not made on the other 3 pure VA PNRs, and remember even corporate travel agents may have different people doing different bookings on behalf of the same customer. Or it could just be that having a non-VA airline in there (like QF or Rex) stuffs up that particular booking.

Are you managing/recalling your bookings using your VFF number or from the six letter PNR? Sometimes that matters as well.

I get the same result whether using the PNR or my velocity details.

This is what I see from Qantas.
