Hi VFF, I'd like to use my points to book a reward seat on a Delta flight (domestic US), in First/Business class. The Delta site shows reward seat availability however according to the VFF contact centre there is none, in any class. The flight in question is >6 months out, are additional reward seats likely to open up closer to the date of travel? Thanks.

Hi,

I had the same issue. Tried to book several Delta flights between various U.S cities - same timeframe, no luck. Was flexible with dates, was initially looking for First - but couldn't even get Economy. Only suggestion I was offered was "keep trying every day as reward seats might become available". I really didn't have the energy to be ringing and going through all the rigmarole every day (especially dealing with the challenges of the overseas call centre) - so I just ended up paying cash and just booking the seats I wanted, in First, on the days I wanted. Kind of disappointing - but not much I could do. I am Velocity Platinum, not that it made any difference.

Good luck - hopefully you have more patience than I did !

Cheers,

Brooke
