OSL seems to be a hack of sorts. I'm flying OSL-SYD (OW) on J in Jan for just under $2200 with CX.

A lot of cheap flights with BA or CX or QR are in or out of OSL. On my way back there on Wednesday night. I believe they have added a Tony Hancock transit lounge there :)

Unfortunately there hasn't been many cheap ones lately. It seems the Autumn sales are starting. OSL-BNE r/t on CX gets down to $3100 on the best sales.

I nearly got caught out a couple of weeks ago at OSL. I was doing a back to back out of LHR and immigration was a nightmare. I have settled on SVG as my departure point in the future because BGO will be an unknown quantity until the refurb is complete. At SVG, and currently BGO you simply get off the aircraft and enter the departure area when completing a back to back.

CPH was a dream for me recently. Another good option if the fares are available from there. (Exit into arrivals/departures area, turn around and re-board into lounge (tickets scanned on entry to the gate lounge, not at the gate). Downside is that the elite lounges are in the Shenghen area, so if you had a long layover, you've got to clear immigration - which can lead to questions if you're not using an EU passport.

That dawned on me a couple of OSL's ago when the US guy in front of me was asked how long he had been in Norway!! mmmmm that will be about 22 minutes for me then!! Fortunately I have a UK passport. I'm heading to CPH in early July so will have a look. I'm there for a few days though so not doing the B2B.
