Not too shabby if you ask me !

Has anybody here flown MH before on the A380 in J ?
Are the seats fully flat ?

I can't seem to get a reliable answer from googling; some sources say fully-flat others say angled-flat and according to the folk at FT its just the foot-rest that is sloped ?

I've flown it from CDG to KL, the foot rest is slightly angled down, no idea why, but it is a little annoying, but saying that I slept much better on the 380 then the 777 or 330. So it is parallel to the ground, rather then sloping down.

That doesn't sound too bad, thanks for the info

From what I've seen Royal Brunei's price is already much less.
I saw a J fare return to Europe ex-MEL for ~$3800 the other week.

Fares to CDG are $5000 but the LHR fares are about $6100, which is still pretty good value! $5000 for a J ticket from Australia to CDG is amazing value!!

Indeed. When I was searching I had a feeling CDG would be the cheapest as I believe its MH's European hub.
As MH flies the A380 to both destinations I would take the MEL-CDG option and save $1100+

I can attest to this. It was great. If you wanted to get to LHR. Just get the train from Charles De Gaule to Paris Gare du Nord station, get the Eurostar to London and BAM. 2hrs you're in the CBD of London. Business or Premium Economy on Eurostar doesn't cost much, and it's amazing how well it all works.
