We are pleased to announce the release of AFF Flight Tracker. This new service allows our members to easily store/map/manage/communicate the details of all flights.

Before I show the link to AFF Flight Tracker, let me address some questions I suspect many of you will have:

What is the cost of using AFF Flight Tracker?
Absolutely nothing. AFF Flight Tracker is 100% free for ALL our registered members

How does AFF Flight Tracker affect my AFF account?
It doesn't. Your AFF account is completely separate. Our GOLD members can choose to display an AFF Flight Tracker Badge (which has flight details) as part of their AFF Signature.

How do I use AFF Flight Tracker?
You need to create an account. As AFF Flight Tracker is only available for AFF members, you first need to login to AFF with "Remember Me?" checked. Then go back to AFF Flight Tracker and create an account using your AFF handle. You only do this once - the next time AFF Flight Tracker will recognize you once you are logged into AFF.

Who developed AFF Flight Tracker?
It's a clone of OpenFlights. We did not purchase the software and take no credit for it. This is a great piece of open-source software and we thank the developer Contentshare for making the code available at no cost. We did however contract Contentshare to copy the software to our server and make some basic changes with integration to AFF.

AFF Flight Tracker is fully compatible OpenFlights. Data can be transferred between the 2 by downloading/uploading the CSV file.

If AFF Flight Tracker is essentially the same as OpenFlights, why bother with it and why not just use OpenFlights?
You certainly can. OpenFlights is a great product. Our members can of course continue to use it, and our GOLD members can continue to publish the OpenFlights badge in their AFF signature. I thought it would be "neat" (as the Americans say) to have an AFF version of OpenFlights which can track our community's collective travels. Also, we are not requesting any donation to get "Elite" features such as password-protected private profiles.

… and now for that link: Read more and signup for AFF Flight Tracker HERE. Enjoy!!
