Another EY Gold Status Match

Funny that they are happy with simple photocopies of boarding cards. I have many QF J BP, but these flights were all upgrades with points, not paid fares.
 
Not sure it's worth my while as I only fly EY via AA award and I've already requalified for VA Gold for 2015. What's the validity for EY Gold status? 12 months from issue?
 
"To Europe or the Middle East" presumably implies the journey must start outside of there. Would that be others' understanding?

It would be 19-20 months in this case, as EY status is valid for the rest of the year plus a full calendar year after that, expiring at the end of March the following year.

If it's earned normally: Once you have attained a higher tier, your status is valid for the rest of that calendar year plus one year for Silver and 2 years for Gold/Gold Elite. In addition you will enjoy the benefits of the tier for a bonus three months.

Comparable to EK in many ways, although the crews I have had in J are very formal, while in Y a lot more friendly. Very kid friendly, on a AUH-SIN trip they were doing face painting mid flight (for the kids).

Hmm.....I am eligible, but didn't take copies of boarding passes for my trips to the middle east last year (would've submitted them with my expense claim).

Hopefully they'll take a copy of the e-ticket.

I shall report back.
 
Was made Gold on EY from doing a F Class Syd/LHR/SYD using velocity points 2 years ago (no iodea why I would get staus on EY using a Velocity Polints booking at the time but just took the card ;) )

Dropped back soem months ago to silver so have submitted under thsi promo to get back to gold.

I have heaps of points so i am WP on QF an dsubmitted flights to CDG/IST done in last 6 months on SG and MH. All these were in F/J and points bookings

Dont have bording passes but showed teh MH and SG statements to demonstrate points debits and aswell as E tix.

Lets see how it goes, auto response email saying it would be dealt with within a month, successful or otherwise!

I've had status before with EY, but thrown in a status match application anyway and see if they give me it again for the match.
 
Prompted by your post, I logged into my account and discovered that I also now have Etihad Gold, card issued today. So what benefits does this give us with Virgin Australia? :-)

Basically the same as Velocity Gold. So lounge access, luggage, priority boarding.

Mine has also been approved :D
There's still time to do this as the deadline extended further until midnight Aug 15th
