In light of the very long Woolworths Everyday Rewards Targeted Bonus Promotions thread, I thought I would create one for Fly Buys...

Regrettably, almost any bonus offer from Fly Buys falls into the category of "five times b-all is still b-all" :(

I don't know .. If I take this one up I should have just enough points to get a $50 Coles voucher. Better than nothing!

I have this offer as well.Well timed as I fly to Tassie today and tomorrow stock up for a 4 week stay.As EDR doesn't work in Tassie Fly Buys is better than nothing.

i find that Fly buys are still useful. triple points are still triple points.

I very much enjoyed all the bonus points through December.

being single I don't spend much on groceries ~ $80 / week so all the decent triple points and 250 bonus point offers helped my balance quite a lot.

Since I sometims do 2 shops in a week, flybuys tends to at least give me points on my smaller spends, whereas EDR only seems to reward you for bigger spending.

I'll take my $20 gift card and happily spend it now :D

In general I find the Everyday Rewards program and their targeted offers much better than anything I could get from Flybuys however here's the best I was able to get out of a Flybuys targeted promotion.

I got an offer shortly before Christmas for 5x points for purchases $5 or more. I also had a docket deal which said I could get $5 off my groceries if I spent over $100. I spent just over $120 after the $5 discount. I got 48 base points plus 184 bonus points which I thought was a good deal and would help towards my next flybuys giftcard.

I can't do this all the time as I usually only make small purchases under $30 at Coles just to do my top up shopping, buy products I can't get from Woolworths or take advantage of really good specials. I figure that it's better to get a few points at Coles than no points at Woolworths.

Just got an email to say that if I spent $150+ this week I'd get a Voucher for 18cpl off fuel.

I also was told by someone at my local Woolies that they were having a promo this weekend where if you buy 2 cases of nominated (expensive) beer you will get a voucher for 30 cpl off.

Personally, I think the Coles offer is better, YMMV.

My offer was a fuel voucher of 12cents for $90 spend, 14cents for $100 spend and 16 cents for $110 spend.

I also have a triple points voucher that expires on Sunday so I was planning a big shopping trip there anyway although the actual size will depend on what general offer Woolworths comes up with. Either way I should be getting plenty of points and also save a bit of money on petrol.

I do have to wonder about fly buys, and i supposed EDR si the same.

I don't drive, and they should know I've never redeemed a fuel voucher. So why can't they target people without cars with some other kinds of offers. I eman they pretty much know everything we buy.

They are trying hard-

Come and celebrate with us this Thursday to Sunday and earn 5 x FlyBuys points on every transaction^ - that's the equivalent of 10 points for every $5 you spend. So why not take the opportunity to stock up on all those aussie favourites. Now that's a happy Australia Day!

This special offer is exclusive to selected FlyBuys members and only valid from Thursday 26 January to Sunday 29 January 2012. Activate this offer by simply clicking the 'Activate now' button, and presenting your FlyBuys card at the checkout.

Has anyone done analysis on fly buys or EDR ? To see if
1. How they compare and
2 are they actually worth it?

If it doesn't matter if you win or lose.......How come they keep score?

Liquorland.... 35c per litre off when you buy any 2 of a few select products... Beer, cruisers, pre mixed.

I had a surprise today,at lunch time I popped into my local Coles store to get a few items for dinner,at the checkout the items scanned
at a total of $52.10,I paid the checkout operator with a $50 and a $10 note, just as she was about to hand me the change she paused and started
intently studying the receipt that the till had printed, then she looked at me and excused herself and went to speak to the checkout supervisor,by this
time I was starting to get worried wondering whether she was querying the price of an item or indeed my $50 note, however after a few minutes she
came back and remarked that the system had granted me a $10 "Loyalty Bonus' and the items were reduced to $42.10,she had never seen such a thing
printed on a receipt before.
Made me wonder though, surely I am not the only customer of the store entitled to such a discount ?anyway it was a nice surprise and I intend to keep
shopping at Coles.
Cheers

I must pay closer attention to what's going on then , is this something activated by the fly buys card?
