Please post here if you know of any upcoming Brisbane wine inspired events or just want to catch up with other AFF Wine Lovers in Brisbane

I'll be flying up to Brisbane landing at 7:30 pm Brisbane Time and will be leaving Friday lunchtime back to Sydney. Let me know if anybody around in Brisbane wants to catch up for dinner or a drink on the Wednesday evening or for lunch on the Thursday in the city.

Wozza

I would really like to catch up as I have very much enjoyed your posts.
Atm, sadly, I simply can't spare the time .

Thanks tgh. Likewise. Maybe another time. It won't be the last deal I do in Brisbane. So I'll be back, GW.

Subscribed to keep up with future BNE visits of Wozza (and others perhaps). I'm not far from airport, also easy for me to head into CBD (although lunch time is easier than after work)

While it's a fair hike into town for me, I will subscribe too this as well

I might be up again in January. I'll post again if I am ...

let me know what dates, I have a Wine worldly friend (old school chum) visiting from the 10th - 17th of January. happy to offer my place for a small gathering, I am based in Cleveland, and happy to put some food on if required

Wozza, now that we have met and neither of us think the other has 2 heads - let me know when you are due in town, so I can mark it off in my calendar (or should that be clear the afternoon or night :D).

I take it that you guys confirmed you both have 2 heads and no longer "think" it? Count me in.

I'd like to be kept in the loop too. Not meaning to hi-jack this thread but should we just set a preliminary date and venue and see who can attend? Perhaps a Friday lunch or mid week dinner? Somewhere reasonably central that allows BYO.

That's exactly what I did, starting with one, then two and before we knew it, we had a regular group meeting almost monthly. And we've been doing that for quite some time now. We've become close friends and co-sharers in wine buying.

All thanks to the Wine Lovers thread.

Don't wait for me. As my travel is unpredictable and not always that heavy.

There's a possibility I might be up on the 14/15 th of May. But I'm briefing QLD counsel to handle the matter for us. So that's an outside chance unless my client asks me to go up anyway (which is doubtful).

I will definitely post here when I am next up.

Until then, have fun forming a Brissie group.

Cheers, Wozza

I certainly need to be in the loop with this one

Well I'll plunge in and try and set a date - or at very least suggest a number and see which one gives the best attendance. In May and lets say a Friday, I'm available 12th or 19th only.

Hmmm, we have 2 from Bayside, 1 central CBD, 1 northern suburbs, 1 from Sunny Coast and one from Gold Coast (plus 2 that I don't know their whereabouts). I suppose BNE City may suit for ease of access, but I don't know too may restaurants (and those that are BYO) as I rarely go into the City to eat (well, business suppliers doing seminars pay for me to dine at Hilton, etc). boomy may be the knowledgeable one here.

Not many good BYO restaurants in the CBD (apart from some Asian places). Only decent one I know is Public which offer BYO but only on Tuesdays.

The Purple Olive in James St offers BYO on weekdays.

I'll be overseas most of next month so both 12th and 19th will not work for me. June looks much better.
