Chilean volcano eruption (Calbuco)

Keeping an eye on this one! If there is another eruption, I might either be spending more time at Iguassu falls, or Mendoza, drinking malbecs!

The Buenos Aires Volcano Advisory Centre has recently published these images of the ash cloud as of 24th/25th local. Drifting north.

I also hope the ash cloud doesn't disrupt flights in Melbourne and NZ like in June 2011. I wonder how many days it took it 2011 to reach the south of Australia.
 
Science flight ( volcanologists are crazy); balloon collecting data?

Anyway the plumes appear to be dissipating to the NE.
 
We were in the area a few years back. Luckily the volcanoes were quiet then, but Calbuco is pretty spectacular now. Hope is settles down soon for all those in the ares.
