All will be explained in due course. But it is just 2 weeks until we leave on our next adventure.
First the flights.
BNE-SYD-SIN-NRT-LAX-PHX-MZL.
Then-YVR-YYJ-SFO-NRT-BKK-SIN-SYD-BNE.
2 nights in SYD,overnight in SIN then 3 nights in Phoenix. The maps already printed with the outlets,Nordstrom Rack and the Dillards clearance centres.

Overnighting in Mazlatan,Mexico where we board the Silver Explorer for B2B cruises to VancouverThe major hope for me on this trip is finally to see orcas.Have been in several places where they can be seen but I have had no success On one occasion I flew into DPO to find that on the front page of the local paper was a picture of an orca in the Mersey River the day before. So hopefully will use my camera to shoot an orca.
They might be seen on the first part of the cruise around the gulf of California. They might then be seen as we cruise up the west coast of the USA.We will be following the last of the grey whale migration and orcas follow them. Then cruising around the San Juan islands where orcas are frequently sighted. As an insurance policy then spending a week on Vancouver Island.

Then the trip back.First 2 days shopping in San Francisco.
3 nights at the Prince Gallery Tokyo Kioicho hotel-a points stay.
Our usual end of trip time in Bangkok and a couple of days in Sydney before home.

The flights are the BA return deal to BKK with the BA sectors in F.
SQ F awards SIN-LAX.
LM award for NH F SFO-NRT then TG J to BKK.
Plus the odd paid flight in North America.

Looking forward to the new report and plenty of photos. Mrs RB spent a lot of time on a day trip out of Seward chasing photos of orcas- glad we live in the digital camera age as many shots were edited out. Posting a few ordinary photos to inspire you

Best of luck!! I have only seen orcas once - and that was on a simple ferry trip from Puerto Montt to Isla Chiloe in southern Chile. I was only about 14 at the time - a "couple" of years ago :)

Go shoot your killer!! :)

Have fun !!!
I was all ready set for 7807 but at the penultimate moment decided not to go… ( really messy flights and was a bit off colour)
There is a block out period between 7807 and 7808.. interested to know why

Hadn't looked at the one before so unsure why a 5 day gap.Maybe a private cruise.

I’m very happy in 2A. And 2C blocked in case MrP joins me. I love killer whales and have only seen them in captivity in Seaworld Florida and which I feel bad about now. :( Off to Alaska next year.

If you are orca-less when you reach Vancouver Island, consider catching the ferry from Sidney across to Anacortes, Washington and back.

We saw several pods of orcas traversing the San Juan Islands, which includes, incidentally, 'Orcas Island' :)

Talk about excitement. Am I reading this correctly, you're starting a trip report before the trip and discussing the shot before the kill! :D

Well, sounds like I have to keep abreast of this thread to see how it all works out! By the sounds of it, I'm in about 23B, so I hope the seat back screen is working OK.

Enjoy the count down.

No, he is merely providing an outcome statement, very popular in decades past. By stating the desired outcome it enables one to focus on the tasks and skills needed to achieve that outcome.
