New Woolworths Rewards App

There is a new app being released which will have targeted offers, among other things.
It's available to staff only now and meant for general customer release next week.

Is this an update to either the Woolworths Money app or the Woolworths app or is it another app?

Also, any chance you could give some feedback on the use of e-gift cards in the Money app? - please enable tap and pay instead of having to enter the number and PIN every time :).

It's a new app. Apparently has in app links to the normal Woolworths app.

In the Rewards app members will be able to:
  • Store and scan their digital Rewards card
  • Access Woolworths eReceipts from their in store transactions
  • View and activate their personalised offers and promotions all in the one place
  • Track spend and Rewards points (check they received their bonus points)
  • Find a store
  • Learn more about how to get the most value out of our Rewards program
Looks like it will also allow phasing out printed paper receipts for rewards members using the rewards app.

They are going to start email promotion of the new app to "marketable Rewards members" tomorrow.

I don't use the money app. Can't send feedback for something I don't use. ;)

It's a new app. I downloaded it on the weekend after on the one occasion I decided to read the WOW (or Coles) emails "A message from the CEO...." which said there was a Rewards app coming. Surprised to see it was there.

I only had a short look at it and it appears similar to the Flybuys app in some respects so better than the WOW money app, but at least the money app you could have multiple Rewards accounts linked. I haven't seen how you can do the same with the rewards app as is requires a login. Much the same as Flybuys app. So for those that manage multiple accounts it can be a bit of a drag (unless there is a workaround).

I have just downloaded it. It is on the app store.

Had another look at the app and a few short comings requiring you to have both the Rewards App and the WOW Money Appl
  1. As mentioned above, WOW Money allows you to access multiple accounts/cards which the rewards app does not.
  2. The Rewards App shows transaction history, but only 90 days worth.
  3. The WOW money app shows your lifetime savings for the account where as the Rewards app doesn't (Flybuys don't anywhere either). The website however has this.
  4. It is useful to see the offers that you have available. The WOW rewards website or WOW Money never showed this.

The Rewards web site has only ever shown 90 days of history so the app must be pulling the data from the same source.

The Woolworths app shows offers that you have available/activated/completed.

I didnt get an email but downloaded it today. It's nice. They sure took their time getting this out though. The mobile website was atrocious to use.

I'm not a marketable member. Woolworths Rewards stopped sending me offers some time ago. Don't know why.

Fear not, I am coming up to my 1 year anniversary since my last Woolworths Rewards email of any description (with the exception of one when I tried changing passwords)

Sometimes it helps to change the email address.
