Today’s office was back to the northern parts of the Sunshine Coast.

It’s a frequent flyer forum, so had to snap this one.

Before heading into the National Park, we made use of the facilities, I took care to use the side marked “male” and Miss H the side marked “female”.

But emerging to wash our hands we both read the sign almost simultaneously and looked at each other with a horrible feeling we may both have used the wrong loo:



First stop on our bushwalk was…



…so named because the water rushes in from the left and under the rock…



… then bubbles up like a boiling pot.



On our walk we made it as far as Dolphin Point.

We sat for almost half an hour looking for the elusive dolphins.

It was quality time with Miss H, but the dolphins were making a mockery of the location named in their honour.

No sooner had we departed Dolphins Point, we spotted a pod of at least six near Tea Tree .

You might just have to trust me.



A short deviation off piste and we also spotted a koala having a snooze.

Heading back towards Noosa just before sunset and the board riders were everywhere.

Luckily the ice cream shop was still open.

On the drive home we also stopped briefly at the roadside lookout over Coolum village.

Today’s office was a chaotic and uncoordinated search of about 15 square metres of sand for a missing wedding ring. Not mine.

The groom spent a good 40 minutes on his own before realising that recruiting bribing an under age workforce might be more efficient.

Ice cream and a cash reward saw the search party swell to around 30 at one point.



Post script: after about 90 minutes the groom gave up and went to the bar.

I saw him later and asked the obvious question. His reply, “Nah, I’m hoping one of the kids finds it. But even if they do, I’ll just lose it again. It’s the third time in 24 hours!”

It would be ok for smoking - but it’s only used for firewood. It’s a private hut, not available to book. The owner generously allows me and two others (all old family friends) access to use it year round.
