Following on from this thread: What's your dream flight?

I'm going to ask the opposite question. What's your idea of the worst possible flight experience that you can imagine?

It's another hard question for me to answer, but I think a middle seat near the rear toilets in Economy on any Boeing 787 flight over 17 hours (except on JAL) would be up there.

All of the above, except the IFE is on the fritz & there’s a chatty unrelated 6yo (one of the overactive ones that will stay awake for 17hrs straight) on the seat next to you. And the caterers-strike means the boozle was all consumed over 10 hours ago.

Long haul in economy on an overnight flight after a delay in boarding followed by a delay in departure then turning around and going back to departure point. That would suck.
… agreed, in those rear middle Y seats… after being downgraded from F… and being reclined into… and turning back because a pax went troppo… and fighting to claim refunds and ORC afterwards…

A330 Front of Economy, middle seat, with occupied bassinets either side, a six-year-old immediately behind you insistent on kicking the back of your chair and both their parents (sitting either side of the child) squeezing their feet onto your armrest...... and finally an issue that forces a return to Sydney 10hrs into your flight.

This (NZ2 turned around), in economy, then having to try again the next day.

or my
chatty unrelated 8yo (one of the overactive ones that will stay awake for 17hrs straight) on the seat next to you

Rear of long haul economy, with toilet queue brushing against your shoulder and grabbing your seat all night, while you struggle with the effects of a dodgy meat stick from a street vendor prior to departure. A nightmare experience I don’t want to repeat.

Economy class, middle seat, with screaming children either side, delayed connection of 8 hours due to weather/operational reasons, forced to go to holding area during transit until 0430 (no lounge, not even water), no accommodation or meal vouchers provided, forced to wear mask at all times
